THE ROLE

A creative eye.
An owner’s mindset.

The Creative Associate supports our content and creative work across video, graphic design and social media. You’ll help us create engaging content, strengthen our online presence and bring ideas to life.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys visual storytelling and turning ideas into engaging digital experiences. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager on day-to-day content needs and execution, and with the Founder on creative projects and campaigns.

Take a brief. Bring your own ideas. Follow through to a strong final product.

YOUR CREATIVE REMIT

Four ways to leave your mark.

01

Content creation & design

Make the visual language.

  • Create graphics and visual assets for social media, programmes, campaigns and the website.
  • Develop creative concepts that support our brand and communication goals.
  • Create and adapt content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Keep The Speech Factory’s visual identity consistent across every format.
02

Video editing

Find the story in the footage.

  • Edit short-form videos for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
  • Edit longer-form videos and recorded content when required.
  • Add captions, text, transitions, music and other visual elements with purpose.
  • Repurpose existing footage into engaging new content.
03

Social media & content management

Give good content a life.

  • Support the planning and execution of our content calendar.
  • Prepare and publish approved content across relevant platforms.
  • Stay up to date with content and social media trends, and suggest ideas to grow our reach and engagement.
  • Review content performance and identify opportunities to improve.
04

Collaboration & project support

Take it through to the finish.

  • Work with the Programme Manager on campaigns, launches, events and creative projects.
  • Take briefs, manage assigned tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Receive feedback openly and put it into practice.
  • Keep creative files and content assets organised.

WHAT YOU BRING

Taste. Skill.
Care for the details.

  • A strong creative eye and an understanding of visual storytelling.
  • Confidence with graphic design, video editing, social media and digital content.
  • Initiative, organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Openness to feedback, a willingness to learn and ideas you can turn into action.
  • Ownership of the quality of your work, from idea to execution.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Let your work
do the talking.

  • Proven experience in graphic design and video editing.
  • A strong portfolio showing both design and video work.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Descript or CapCut.
  • Experience creating content for social media.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

We’re more interested in what you can create than simply how many years you’ve worked in a creative role.

About us & the role

Help good communication reach further.

The Speech Factory helps individuals, professionals, teams and organisations communicate with greater clarity, confidence and impact. As we grow, we’re looking for a proactive, hands-on Business Development Associate to expand our reach and create new opportunities.

You’ll support our growth through business development, client engagement, partnerships and marketing. This is an early-career role for someone who enjoys working with people, spotting opportunities and getting things done.

You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager on day-to-day activities and execution, and with the Founder on business development, partnerships, client opportunities and other growth initiatives.

Ownership matters here.

This is a role for a doer. When you see something that needs to be done, you take initiative, work out the next steps and follow through. You bring ideas, ask thoughtful questions and get things moving.

What you’ll do

Three ways you’ll help us grow.

01

Business development & growth

Find the opportunity. Follow it through.

  • Research potential clients, organisations, audiences and markets to identify new business opportunities.
  • Support outreach and lead generation, contact prospective clients and follow up consistently.
  • Maintain a clear pipeline of clients and opportunities, moving each conversation towards its next stage.
  • Help prepare proposals, pitches and other business development materials.
  • Contribute practical ideas to grow our visibility, reach and client base.
02

Client & partnership engagement

Build relationships that move things forward.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, prospective clients and partners.
  • Follow up on enquiries, meetings, proposals and agreed next steps.
  • Support communication and coordination throughout client engagements.
  • Identify organisations and communities for partnerships, and support outreach and ongoing communication.
  • Help coordinate partnership activities and ensure agreed actions are completed.
03

Marketing & communications

Help the right people discover our work.

  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Promote our programmes, courses, workshops and services.
  • Support social media planning, publishing and community engagement.
  • Contribute content and campaign ideas that build awareness and attract prospective clients.
  • Research relevant trends, audiences and platforms, and help develop simple marketing and communication materials.

What we’re looking for

Initiative, curiosity and follow-through.

  • Proactive, organised and resourceful, with the follow-through to turn an idea into action.
  • Comfortable reaching out to new people and organisations, building relationships and communicating clearly.
  • Able to manage several priorities while keeping track of the details and taking responsibility for next steps.
  • Interested in business development, marketing, communications, partnerships or client engagement.
  • Confident using social media and digital tools, and curious enough to learn new ones.
  • Able to work independently, use judgement and ask for direction when it is needed.

Experience & qualifications

The foundations you’ll bring.

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, Management or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, marketing, client management, partnerships, communications or a related area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside good organisational and coordination skills.
  • Comfort working with Google Workspace, social media platforms and other digital tools.
  • Basic experience with Canva or a similar design tool is an advantage.

We also welcome exceptional early-career candidates who can demonstrate the right attitude, initiative and ability to learn.
